| Micronet Students Field Trip to BLNG |

Total of 35 students and one lecturer visited Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad in Lumut yesterday. The trip was also joined by the College’s Principal, Ms Sharon Chin and the Sales and Marketing Executive, Ehra Hussin.
The group was welcomed by Mr Azlan Abdul Aziz, the Head of External Affairs of BLNG Sdn Bhd.
After the welcoming speech, as a procedure, the visitors were shown a safety video as a precaution.
After light refreshments served, a briefing about the company and its operation was then presented by Miss Hajah Maria, one of the Electrical Engineer of BLNG Sdn Bhd. The group was also entertained by the IT Department where they explained in detail how IT usage plays a fundamental role in the organization. It was led by Pengiran Sharudin bin Pengiran Dato Mustafa, the Head of Infrastructure and Network of BLNG Sdn Bhd. After their presentation, questions and answers session was held for the students to ask IT-related materials to the experts.
Later, the students were brought for a short tour around the Plant where they witnessed the variety of facilities and infrastructures used for liquefaction process of oil to natural gas.
The purpose of the trip is for the students to gain knowledge on the process of liquefaction and transportation of Natural Gas using computerized technology. This trip enables the students to apply their knowledge on technology process in the real world. Micronet International College organizes this field trip as an extra-curricular activity for its students. It hopes to strengthen the casual ties among the students outside their college. |
